Seoul Sillage is an independent editorial journal exploring Korean life, culture, memory, and the everyday things that leave an impression.

The name comes from sillage, the French word used in perfumery to describe the trail a fragrance leaves behind.

​

But here, sillage means more than scent.

​

It's the feeling of returning somewhere familiar. The stories behind objects we use. The places that change while our memories of them stay the same. The small cultural details that are easy to overlook but difficult to forget.

Through essays, observations, cultural discoveries, and thoughtfully curated finds, Seoul Sillage explores Korea beyond the obvious.

Some stories are beautiful. Some are ordinary. Others might begin with a smell you'd rather avoid.

Because not everything that lingers is perfume.
