What Perfume Does Kim Woo-bin Wear? The Fragrance He Gave a Fan
What started with a simple question about perfume turned into a surprisingly sweet story between Kim Woo-bin and one of his longtime fans.

It's one thing to ask your favorite actor what perfume he wears. It's another to have him reach into his own bag and give you the bottle.
That's what happened at a fan-signing event in September 2025, when a fan asked Korean actor Kim Woo-bin which fragrance he thought would suit her. She had planned to buy whatever he recommended, but instead of naming a perfume, he asked his manager to bring over his bag and took out the bottle he had been using. Even when she tried to decline, he insisted she take it.

The fragrance was Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Mirto di Panarea, a fresh, aromatic scent inspired by the Italian island of Panarea. The interaction was captured on video and quickly spread across social media. After all, it's not every day that someone asks a celebrity for a perfume recommendation and walks away with the actual bottle from his bag.
But the story didn't end there.
The video attracted so much attention that Kim Woo-bin eventually became an ambassador for Acqua di Parma. And apparently, he hadn't forgotten the fan who helped make it happen.
On October 6, 2026, the same fan, known on Instagram as @zest_wb, shared another video. Kim Woo-bin was greeting fans and signing autographs after finishing a schedule when he recognized her and mentioned that he had something for her. He walked over to his car and returned with a large shopping bag filled with Acqua di Parma products.
He explained that he wanted to thank her because the original perfume video had helped lead to his advertising opportunity with the brand.
And here's the part I find especially sweet. He had bought the gifts himself but didn't know when he would see her again, so he'd been keeping them in his car, waiting for their paths to cross. He'd even prepared extra gifts for the fans who might be with her, not wanting her to feel uncomfortable being the only person receiving something.
The fan later shared how touched she was by the gesture. What began as a spontaneous perfume recommendation had somehow turned into a story that came full circle a year later.
As for the perfume itself, Mirto di Panarea belongs to Acqua di Parma's Blu Mediterraneo collection, inspired by the Mediterranean coast. It opens with myrtle, basil, lemon, and bergamot, giving it a bright, herbal freshness. Jasmine and marine notes add a breezy quality, while cedarwood, juniper, amber, and mastic bring warmth to the base.
Despite its seaside inspiration, it isn't an overwhelmingly aquatic fragrance. The citrus and herbs give it a clean, slightly green character, making it appealing to anyone who prefers something fresh rather than heavy or sweet. It's also a unisex fragrance.
Of course, having Mirto di Panarea in his bag doesn't necessarily mean it's the only perfume Kim Woo-bin wears. But there's something fun about discovering a celebrity's fragrance through a genuine interaction rather than an advertisement.
I've always had a soft spot for Kim Woo-bin, so I initially loved this story simply because it revealed what perfume he was using. But the follow-up made it even better. Celebrities meet countless fans, and while those encounters can mean everything to the people meeting them, they're probably much harder for the celebrities themselves to remember.
The fact that he remembered this fan, bought her a gift, and kept it in his car until they met again says quite a bit about his thoughtfulness.
